A friend of mine used to do construction work, he actually did all the electrical contracting work for a lot of buildings and retail stores in Manhattan. He also did some work at Grand Central station. But the work that he did there the schedule was quite interesting. I believe they could only work at night time and perhaps it is only 4 hours or so, let’s say from midnight to 4:00 a.m. Maybe that’s right, maybe that’s wrong but it was a certain amount of time that was available for workers to work. What they had to do is they had to break a wall and to break the wall they had to use a jackhammer because I believe it was made of cement or something similar to that. When they broke the wall they did their work on the inside and then if the work was not finished, they would have to repair the wall as if it were finished paint over it so that nobody could tell that any work had been done. Then if it hadn’t been done they’d have to repeat the same thing every day break, break the wall get in do some work, then as the next day would come around, they would have to pass the wall repaint it wait until traffic or the commuter traffic was not excessive, and then rebate the Wall go in and repatch it. this was on this was going on for days at a time as you can imagine until it was actually fixed. I am not sure if every New York construction accident attorney would be aware of this.

There are a lot of different types of construction in buildings in Manhattan in particular. I know that in office spaces sometimes construction starts at night time so as to not disturb the Daily Business activities of the building. These are typically renovations of offices. These renovations occur at all floors, at any given time. You know if a new office or business comes in and takes over two floors of office space and they don’t like the layout then they change the layout by hiring a construction company. Well first they probably hire some sort of a design firm, like an architect or similar to work on the layout. I imagine that they have to get the plans approved, and if they do need to get the plan approved, they get those plans approved, and then hire a construction company to work on the construction.
